This week on MD for Moms, I’ll be interviewing opens in a new windowOBGYN Dr. Jessica Katz about all things pregnancy related. We are going to cover tons of topics, including if Zika is still a concern, what foods should be avoided and which foods are actually safe despite old wives tales to the contrary. We will explore which vaccines you need before conception, which are safe and which aren’t during pregnancy as well as which diseases pregnant women should try to avoid. Dr. Katz will tell us the latest on how to minimize nausea and safe ways to continue exercising and feeling good until delivery. We will also talk about caesarean sections – what should a woman do if told she needs one, are they done too often, why or why not – plus is it safe to have a home birth? All of these topics and more, plus we will answer YOUR questions live.
