Dr. Marisol Moon:
Dr. Marisol Arcila Moon is double boarded in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pain Management, and she is the founder of NuMoon Regenerative Medicine in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL.
Dr. Moon attended undergraduate and medical school at the University of Florida. She received her medical degree in 2003 and completed her internship at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Brighton, MA, and then she completed her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Rusk Institute at New York University in 2007. During her time in residency, she served as Chief Resident at the Manhattan Veteran’s Administration and served on the NYU House Staff Council. She then returned to her alma mater, the University of Florida, for fellowship training in spine, sports and pain medicine, completing her training in 2008. This is also where her interest in regenerative medicine, specifically prolotherapy, started.
For nearly the last 10 years, Dr. Moon has practiced outpatient spine and pain management with an extensive background and experience in treating chronic low back pain and joint pain with traditional steroid injection therapy and medication management. During her time treating chronic pain, her interest in regenerative medicine grew. She knew she wanted to focus more on fixing and healing chronic pain issues. Dr. Moon’s treatment focused more on finding safer, more natural, and alternative options to address not only chronic pain but also men and women’s sexual health struggles, as well as cosmetic issues like fine lines, wrinkles, and scars. Hence, NuMoon Regenerative Medicine was born.
Through regenerative medicine and focusing on a more natural approach, Dr. Moon utilizes the body’s means of natural healing through the use of prolotherapy, PRP and stem cell treatments along with exercise and physical therapy. She is an associate member of the American Academy of Regenerative Medicine and has undergone prolotherapy training via the Hackett-Hemwall-Patterson Foundation.
Dr. Moon is available to educate patients on alternative options for chronic low back pain or joint pain as well as coach and offer treatment options for those wishing to avoid or reduce chronic narcotic pain medication use. She also offers educational sessions, motivational coaching, and recommendations on leading a healthier lifestyle. She enjoys educating those interested in learning more about safer, healthier options to restore function back to painful joints, tendons, and overall our aging bodies via the treatments of regenerative medicine.
In her free time, Dr. Moon enjoys spending time with her husband and young daughter, traveling near and far, exercise, and photography.
