MD For Moms Radio, Every Wednesday 1pm (ET) on The BBM Global Network, TuneIn and iHeartRadio or as a podcast on iTunes.
This week on MD for Moms, I interview Dr. Sophia Yen, CEO and Co-founder of Pandia Health about birth control and why skipping your period is not only safe, but may prove helpful for your mood. It can be confusing figuring out which form of birth control is best – a pill, patch, ring, or maybe an implant or IUD? Dr Yen breaks down the options and explains the benefits for each.
Questions about birth control abound – do all oral contraceptives cause weight gain? Do they worsen migraines? If you’re over 35, are your options limited and if so, why? When should a woman stop birth control if she wants to start trying to conceive? How do different forms of birth control impact mood and is it really necessary to menstruate? These many questions and more answered on this week’s show.
