MD For Moms Radio, Every Wednesday 1pm (ET) on The BBM Global Network and iHeartRadio.
This week on MD for Moms, I’ll be interviewing Dr. Shayne Poulin about family planning and contraception options. Shayne Poulin, MD is a family medicine physician with a special interest in women’s health. There is a saying that there is never the right time to have a baby – and this may be true. However, there are some times when it is really not the right time, and in these times it is good that we have contraception choices. Do you know all the options that exist, between oral pills, IUDs, and implants? What emergency contraception options exist and are they risky? When can a new mom start birth control after having a baby and can she still breastfeed while taking a oral contraceptive pill? Answers to these questions and many more on this week’s MD for Moms.
