Pediatric and Adult Sleep Specialist Dr Priya Prashad

MD For Moms Radio, Every Wednesday 1pm (ET) on The BBM Global Network, TuneIn and iHeartRadio or as a podcast on iTunes.

This week on MD for Moms, I’ll be interviewing  Dr. Priya Prashad, a child and adult sleep medicine specialist, all about sleep. Parents almost universally hope to improve their child’s sleep – Dr. Prashad will discuss the safety of sleep training, when and how to do it effectively. We will explore the various reasons why babies and older children struggle with sleep and when issues warrant medical evaluation. Snoring is a common problem for children and adults alike – we will review the reasons behind this pesky experience and also treatment options for various age groups. Sleep medicines abound but which is safe and which supplement is effective? Can supplements be safely used in children and if so, at what age and which one(s)? All of these questions and more will be answered on our show, and, of course, Dr. Prashad will answer the age-old question: how much sleep do we really need?
