MD For Moms Radio, Every Wednesday 1pm (ET) on The BBM Global Network, TuneIn and iHeartRadio or as a podcast on iTunes.
This week on MD for Moms, I’ll be interviewing Dr. Priya Prashad, a child and adult sleep medicine specialist about sleep, why we need it, why many of us can’t seem to get enough of it and how to improve it. If there is one thing we all need to function in daily life, it is a good night’s sleep. Many of us are tired often, yet we can’t always fall or stay asleep without waiting a long time or taking medication. Why is this? What are the reasons for sleep disturbance and what can be done to improve things. Dr. Prashad explains the common causes for sleeplessness and treatment options. She also goes into what a sleep study is and who will benefit from having one. We also delve into how COVID impacts sleep, both directly for those who are sick and those with long haul syndrome, and indirectly through life changes that have occurred with the pandemic. Sleeping well is a gift, so join us and learn how to get better sleep tonight.
