MD For Moms Radio, Every Wednesday 1pm (ET) on The BBM Global Network, TuneIn and iHeartRadio or as a podcast on iTunes.
This week on MD for Moms, I interview Dr. Monica Milas, a board certified Family Medicine physician who runs Radiant Med Spa in Columbia, South Carolina. Medical and spa are two words that may not naturally go together in everyone’s mind – one is stressful, the other relaxing – but a Med Spa is different and may be just right for you. Before running to the closest establishment, you need to know what to look for in terms of safety and what services are most appropriate. Dr. Milas explains why a med spa can be an alternative to seeing a plastic surgeon or dermatologist for some specific procedures, but why some procedures are better left for the operating room. She also reviews top safety questions to ask before signing up for any procedures at your local med spa to make sure it is a safe and reliable establishment.
Dr. Milas is also mom to four children – she runs a business and juggles parenthood and being a physician. How does she do it? She explains how she finds time for herself and her family while also growing her med spa, and how others can do the same.
