MD For Moms Radio, Every Wednesday 1pm (ET) on The BBM Global Network, TuneIn and iHeartRadio or as a podcast on iTunes.

This week on MD for Moms, I interview OBGYN Dr. Molly Findley about family planning. Reproductive freedoms are being taken away from women in an active attempt by conservatives to overturn Roe v. Wade. Texas just passed the strictest abortion bill ever, only allowing the termination until week six of pregnancy, a time when most women don’t yet know they’ve conceived. Why are measures like this so dangerous for women? Why are abortion rights critical? Dr. Findley will explain this legitimate medical procedure, who seeks abortion most often and will dispel myths and untruths told about terminating a pregnancy.

In addition to abortion, family planning also includes preventing pregnancy and supporting women through miscarriage (and through healthy pregnancies too!). Dr. Findley breaks down the different forms of contraception and we review what options are best for different women. We also explore miscarriage, why it happens, who is at greater risk and how to move forward after losing a wanted pregnancy.

This proves to be a timely and important show that shouldn’t be missed!
