Dr. Alberto Escallon is a board-certified Child & Adolescent and Adult psychiatrist. He attended medical school at The Xaverian School Of Medicine in Bogota Colombia S.A from 1992 to 1998. He completed his residency in Psychiatry at Mount Sinai Hospital in NYC from 2003 to 2007 and then a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry  at St Vincent’s Catholic Medical Center in NY  from 2007 to 2009. Dr Escallon also completed a 2 year fellowship in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at NYU. Currently Dr Escallon is the Director of Child & Adolescent Outpatient services at Mt Sinai St Luke’s Hospital where he is also an Assistant professor for the Department of Psychiatry.

Dr. Escallon sees patients of all ages. He does psychiatric evaluations, consultations, psychopharmacologic (medication) management, and psychotherapy. His areas of expertise include ADHD,  Mood Disorders, Trauma and Anxiety. Dr.Escallon joined Family Health Associates in 2016.
